IGNITE Advisory Services (Pty) Ltd was established in 2007 and specialize in consulting in all spheres of government. Our professional team is diverse, multi-disciplinary and highly qualified, covering the fields of strategy development and performance integration, talent and performance management, human resources, governance, and reporting. Our success is built on sound client service, specialization principles and our strategy to grow from within. The employees of Ignite own 70% of the business shares, which means that the employees can grow in their own skillsets and take real ownership of the work they deliver.

Our team has worked in provincial government, local government, Auditor-General and Big 4 Consulting firms as senior managers.

Our clients include local, provincial, and national government in mainly Eastern Cape, Gauteng, Kwazulu-Natal as well as the Northern and Western Cape. We are supporting more than 40 municipalities with performance management.
Twelve (12) of the twenty (20) municipalities that achieved a clean audit for the 2018/19 financial year have been our clients for more than 10 years.

Leadership
We have a dynamic leadership team, with Attie Butler as CEO and co-founder. He motivates and drives us to constantly innovate and provide our customers with the best solutions, that consistently add value to their industry.
He is supported by Adele Yiatses as the associate director, who coordinates all the operational delivery and ensures consistency and the exceptional standards that we are known for.
Expert Professionals
The key team members have extensive combined local, provincial, and national government experience in excess of 153 years. The success of our organisation depends on understanding our environment, current and future integrated needs of our clients, whilst capturing and maintaining a competitive edge. Attie Butler
Well-known as the expert in strategy development and business process design. This Big 4 trained consultant pioneered the design and implementation of shared services and performance management in SA local government. He lectured and presented various papers in local government. CEO Magazine’s CEO of the year, Cape Town, 2022.
Adele Yiatses
Registered Government Auditor (RGA) with extensive public-sector performance and regularity audit and risk management experience gained with the Auditor-General. She is well-known for her expertise in the implementation of performance management and the implementation of governance processes in local government for more than 15 years.
Edward Jantjies
This human resources and talent management guru holds an MPA. PGDIP PM, PG Education, B Econ and is a member of IMPSA and SABPP. He has more than 20 years executive leadership experience in local government and is responsible for the implementation of R890 and human resource management consulting projects.
Richard Bruiners
Certified Governance, Risk and Compliance Professional (GRCP) who is a risk specialist with a primary focus on integrating governance, risk, and compliance strategies. Key areas of expertise relate to Integration of standard operating procedures, risk management practices, and audit procedures for early identification of risks and real-time mitigation, system development and improvement.
Herdi Vermeulen
Ex-director in Local Government Support who holds a B.Econ. She has more than 25 years local government and governance experience. She is exceptional in strategy development of rural municipalities and is responsible for drafting IDP’s, SDBIP’s and performance reports. She also assists with the implementation of individual performance and governance projects.
Ermin Dreyer
Our specialist in compliance and holds a B.Com and is responsible for the implementation of performance management, standard operating procedures, and governance processes. He also specializes in performance reporting, development of performance indicators and system descriptions.
Glynis Abrahams
Specializes in the development of integrated development plans, implementation of performance management, standard operating procedures, and governance processes. She has experience as IDP, performance and compliance manager at municipal level.
Sanelle Posthumus
Our specialist in individual performance management holds a National Diploma in Public Relations. She also specializes in performance reporting, development of performance indicators and system descriptions.

Our support consultant who is responsible for our support desk as well as technical training on our software.
